About Us
Bushey Hall Golf Club, established in 1890 and situated on the outskirts of North London, is the oldest parkland golf course in Hertfordshire.

The elegant clubhouse, built in 1907, is set in 120 acres of mature wood and parkland and reflects the characteristic charm and heritage so typical of its age. A beautifully landscaped terrace, with surrounding rockery garden and water feature, makes for an impressive and calming first impression, with views extending down the fairway through ancient oak trees.

The 18-hole course is superbly designed and maintained, combining long par fives, short par threes and challenging par fours. Water, tree lines and undulating rough sufficiently challenge low handicaps, yet do not deter our less experienced golfers. The practice putting area, chipping and short-game practice areas are all ideal for sharpening up those finer points before your round.

Golf coaching is available from AA Class PGA Professional and Hertfordshire County Coach Chris Drane

Chris Drane - Head Professional
I qualified as a PGA Professional in 2005 and was among the first cohorts to graduate from the University of Birmingham with an Honors Degree in Applied Golf Management Studies.

I have just completed a Post Graduate Degree in Sport Coaching and next year I will be doing a Masters in Sport Coaching.

I worked for 3 years as assistant professional at the Marriott Forest of Arden and then focused on my coaching, running my own coaching academy at a busy golf range in Hertfordshire. I become the Head PGA Professional at Bushey Hall Golf Club in May 2014.

I am a Lead Hertfordshire County Academy Coach and have been involved in the county coaching structure for the last 5 years.

I am also the Performance Director for the Hertfordshire Junior iTour, which is a junior development tour designed to give playing opportunities for young golfers in the county.
